Redken is a prescriptive brand which means the products that are recommended, are suited to your hair type and what you want your hair to do... within reason! No more expecting volume from a colour shampoo!
Andrew Barton, the man himself, prescribed me a set from shampoo through to styling. There is a mixture of old products in the range and new ones too. I have loved and really seen results from the 'Extreme' range which is specifically designed for damaged hair (sadly, thats me, too much bleach!).
The 'fortifying complex' delivers protein and ceramide to fortify weakened areas and reinforce surface protection and shine. So that's the blurb, in real life terms, it has strengthened my weak, a bit broken and dry hair extending the time between hair cuts and salon visits. It lathers well and smells like sweets.
My hair feels stronger, thicker and has that salon freshness feeling. The conditioner is brilliant too. Lightweight yet really does the job in smoothing and adding much needed moisture. My hair is in so much better condition being blonde this time round compared to last year. I can honestly say this range has had a big input into this and I think it needs to be my shampoo range of choice while I stay blonde, even if it turns into an every other wash product.
An absolute winner. It's going to take a lot to beat this range. I have been using styling products from this range too, stay tuned for reviews of those!
