Liz Earle - Hot Cloth Cleanser

I've tried the Liz Earle range before, I liked it, but I wasnt blown away. To be honest, I wasnt using the cleanser in the 'correct' way. Round 2 with the hero product and I am in love, seriously. Now I know why everyone raves about it. It comes in a little travel friendly pouch with 2 muslin cloths. You can buy the cleanser without the muslin cloths and bag, but you get that thrown in for £1.50 extra so not a bad deal!

It completely melts away my make up in seconds, no matter how much I am wearing! One pump is sufficient for a normal day, and I upgrade to 2 after a night out. Mix in the muslin cloth and I walk out of the bathroom with clean, hydrated skin. No residue and not a scrap of make up in sight ready to tone and moisturise. The smell isnt overpowering for me and doesnt give that chemical smell that makes you wonder if some products are doing more harm than good.

I am nearly at the end of my bottle which has lasted me 8 weeks so I am really impressed. In that time, I havent had any breakouts caused by it, I have completely removed the need for an exfoliator and make up wipes from my routine and my skin glows again. If I could only have one cleanser for the rest of my days, I would chose this. Sadly living the life of a beauty addict, this may not happen!

Its love. I am off to John Lewis to get my next bottle. Now I know why the Cleanse & Polish has won so many awards!

Revlon - Grow Luscious

Revlon have launched their newest mascara, Grow Luscious. Not only is it a no.. its also a lash enhancer which gives 'instantly longer and fuller lashes', which helps them 'grow stonger with each use.'

It contains;

Wheat protein- to provide conditioning & strengthening properties.

Panthenol & Phytantriol- provide nd increase conditioning and mositurizing properties to strengthen lashes.

I have been using other lash growth products so I cant promise that my growth is due to this but they are definitely in better condition. When I first used this mascara I didnt like it, I felt the formulation wasnt wet enough but I gave it another go and actually really love it! It fans my lashes out and makes them super long. I use this for day time and if I want an extra boost, I top up with another mascara for a darker look. This promises no transferring during the day but I have found it does. I just check every so often and wipe away any smudges.

For under £10, I think this is a great mascara and I will be using it in my routine for a long time.

The Body Shop - Rainforest Hair Care

The Body Shop have launched a new hair care range called Rainforest Hair Care. As with all products from TBS, they are Eco-Conscious. They contain no silicones, sulphates, parabens or colourants which not only helps to look after your hair, but will also mean that our rivers and seas are not polluted which can damage the health of our sealife. I had never even thought about what effect products can have on our waterlife. 'It is respectful to the aquatic environment, meets strict biodegradability standards, and minimises the use of non-sustainable packaging resources. We’re working hard to help protect our planet.'

The range itself is tailored to suit your hairs needs;

I used the Moisture range for my dry, bleached hair. Because all the bad stuff has been removed, I was worried how clean my hair would feel after using it. The shampoo is really thick and sticky and lathers ok. The conditioner was thick and held to my hair well. You need to rinse these well. I found that too much product and my hair would get greasy quicker than normal and my hair would be weighed down. I would say use less than normal (which will make them last longer!) and rinse well.

Sadly not the rave I wanted and expected to give this range. You can buy yours here.

Christina Aguilera - Royal Desire

Celeb perfumes are always a bit of a guilty plesure for me. Most of the time they mimic high end designer ones with their own twist and they even have their own super tacky bottles that I love!
The newest release from Christina Aguilera is Royal Desire.Its an oriental while still staying sweet and powdery. This is a fragrance that smells better as it develops leaving a warm, clean scent behind perfect for daytime & evening. The bottle mimics the others in the range, clean cut and pretty.

Lacoste - Joy of Pink

Lacoste are launching a new fragrance from their Pink range. Alexa Chung is the face of Joy of Pink. The bottle is in line with the rest of the pink range but the smell is completely different. Its built around a cocktail of grapefruit & Blue Curacao. Its citrus top notes and Cedar wood finish mean it can suit any age.
So what does it really smell like?
This reminds me of D&G Light blue or DKNY(big long bottle). If you like that, you'll love this. Its a really good season change perfume, it still breathes summer but isnt too light and floaty.
The new fragrance is available from 20th October.

Myface Cosmetics - Lip Pop

Lipgloss... its a love of mine. Give me sticky, glossy, shiny, coloured anything! Myface Cosmetics have a lovely range and even help you out with which will suit you whether you are fair, medium or dark.

Below are 2 of my favourites, exotically named 132 & 134... both glossy, just the right amount of sticky and both with a gold shimmer through them. 134 (pink) just screams my name!! They are long lasting unlike some brands which will just leave the glitter on your lips! They are a nice size and quick to apply.

Dove Hair Damage Therapy Range

Dove have launched a new range for us styling addicts!
'The new Dove Hair Damage Therapy range contains patented Micro Moisture Serum technology for superior surface care. When caring for surface hair isn’t enough, Dove has developed patented Fibre Active technology for unrivalled internal hair repair and incorporated this into a selection of the new Damage Therapy products, to leave hair stronger and healthier than ever. '
The range contains:

Intensive Repair Shampoo

Intensive Repair Conditioner

Intensive Repair Express Treatment Conditioner

All under £3.50, so highly affordable. No need to splash the cash here.

Hannah tried the conditioner...

'The great thing about it is that it is light enough for daily use but still intense enough to really make a difference to stressed hair. It's the daily alternative to a hair mask. I used the same amount as my normal conditioner, the smell was lovely and it spread through my hair easily. I left it on for about 5 mins and washed off. When combing my hair the first thing I noticed was how much easier my knots combed out.

I have thick curly hair so combing when wet can often prove a challenge. When drying I didn't get any of that thick sticky residue you sometimes get with intensive conditioners. My hair was definitely softer and shinier and felt healthier. I didn't wash my hair for 2 days and the shine stayed and still felt soft. I sometimes find after other conditioning treatments my hair gets greasier quicker but not with this one! Definite thumbs up for Dove! I am going to let time tell whether my split ends improve in a few weeks...I hope so.

Next up, the Express Treatment Conditioner...

This intensive treatment claims to give instant deep nourishment and help improve split end breakage. unlike some treatment which require you to leave it overnight , the 'express' treatment is only 1 minute! A little sceptical, I did as instructed and was surprised to really notice a difference! This allows you to treat your hair even in your quick morning shower! After all most peoples excuse for neglecting hair skin etc is 'time' this is the answer for us busy women. It smells lovely and moreover, it WORKS. my hair was definitely softer and shinier! Highly recommend.

The new Dove hair range is in shops now!

Lovea Bio Argan Oil Cell Renewal Body Scrub

The scrub comes in a clear tube and to be honest, not particularly attractive packaging. Still, that is not the main thing I thought, I'll give it a go as I am a big fan of body scrubs. I was disappointed with this one. The consistency of the actual gel was watery and greasy and the exfoliating bits were sparse. To get any proper exfoliation I would have had to use a mass of the stuff! The smell was OK but not natural. I would prefer a creamy, nutty like smell like the Body Shop ones. Because the gel was so thin, it dripped off immediately upon application and you could not really rub it in. The product left a greasy, baby oil like layer on my skin and it did not feel deeply moisturised or exfoliated at all. I wouldn't advise using this product unless you like the feel of baby oil after a shower.

In my opinion there are a lot better scrubs available, even the cheap ones!

You can buy yours here.

Illamasqua - Art of Darkness

Everytime a new collection comes out from Illamasqua, there are always lots of ooohh's and aaahhhh's, a bit like fireworks night! Their newest collection 'Art of Darkness' was no exception, 'a sumptuous selection of jewel-like shades for eyes, lips, nails and body. This mythical array of lavish tones is as intense as it is opulent, Indulge your extravagant side and revel in the otherworldliness of night time make up...'

New items in the collection inclue a metallic red and green polishes, matt navy blue lipstick and some new liquid metals to name a few. Below is a swatch of Superior liquid metal, a deep navy with silver reflects, perfect for dark eyes with a twist. You can use these alone of with a shadow over the top. Also new to Illamasqua, Precision Ink. A liquid liner which can be used anywhere on the face or body. Below is Abyss, a pure black which you can make as thick or thin as you like.

I may not use Illamasqua products like they are shown in the promo images, but I still get a bit excited when I use them knowing the story behind them.

WAH Nails

A couple of weeks ago I had my nails 'Wah'd' for the first time! I've seen lots of pictures and even wandered passed the nail bar in Topshop but never gone for it, till now! You can have literally any design on your nails and their website showcases just a few (hundred). You dont have to go crazy, you can just get a straight manicure, but where's the fun in that?! They even painted over my gels for me...very impressed!

A'kin Ginkgo & Jojoba Intensive Moisture Hair Masque

The majority of women use some sort of heat to style their hair, usually on a daily basis. Straighteners, curling tongs, hair dryers; they are a God send yes, but our poor locks need looking after when being exposed to 200 degree + heat daily! Intensive conditioner is a brilliant quick fix for lifeless, dry, heat damaged hair and is something Hannah has been using for years and love to try different ones. With thick, curly, frizzy hair, she is the perfect candidate to review this hair mask!

'The bottle is attractive and classy. It is an easy to open flip cap and and a squeezy tube. I first shampooed my hair then applied the mask. It is a thick, moisturiser-like consistency and smelled lovely. You did not need much. It is packed full of natural ingredients including jojoba and essential oils. I left it on for 5 mins, although for a more intensive treatment it suggests 30 minutes, or even over night. It washed out nicely and did not leave my hair feeling greasy which some can do. I definitely noticed a difference. My knots combed out easier and when my hair was dry there was definitely a softer feel to it. Once straightened I noticed how shiny it was. I am going to keep using this once a week, or whenever my hair needs it. I am excited to try it over night and see the results. I would definitely recommend this product.'

Head & Shoulders Scalp Care Collection

I've complained about an itchy scalp before and have been using Vosene medicated shampoo. However something, either a product or stress sent it through the roof!

Head & Shoulders have launched a new scalp care range to relief dry, itchy scalps so you can get on with your day without having a constant nagging. In the range is a shampoo & conditioner for;
I tried the itchy scalp care. It contains Eucalyptus which will help relieve the itch but also leaves your hair soft. I use the shampoo and leave it for a couple of mins to really works it magic, shampoo again with my usual shampoo, then condition my scalp with the conditioner and apply my usual conditioner on the lengths. My bleached hair needs a bit of extra love in the conditioner stakes! Not only does it relieve, it also cools leaving my hair feeling fresh. Now a staple in my hair care routine, until my stress levels reach some normality at least!
