Organic Surge

Organic Surge is a paraben, sodium lauryl/laireth sulphate free skin care range which contains naturally derived 'skin loving' ingredients which help stimulate cellular metabolism and support active skin cell repair. My friend Hannah tried out some of the range, here is what she thought...

FACE CREAM

The moisturiser comes in a glass jar which i prefer to a tube, as you don't waste any by squeezing out too much. The moisturiser is un perfumed or coloured which is great for sensitive skin & eyes. The consistency is light and rubs on to the skin easily and sinks in straight away leaving a good base for make up application. Unlike some moisturisers it does not leave a greasy film over the skin. If you have particularly dry skin I do not recommend this cream as it is so light. I would probably recommend this for most people to use as a day cream only and perhaps a stronger more moisturising cream to leave on over night. For 'normal' skin it is great & keeps the skin moisture perfectly topped up.

BODY SCRUB

Like all the Organic products, the body scrub is un perfumed. I usually use a body scrub 2/3 times a week so swapped to this one for a month or so. I usually use Radox smoothies so wanted to compare. I personally prefer a nice fresh smelling body scrub/shower gel, this is something this one lacked. However it would be great if you react to scented products. The consistency was fairly runny meaning you needed to re apply a few times. I found the exfoliating 'balls' to be fairly sparse and couldn't really feel them working on my skin. I would prefer a higher consistency of them. It did leave my skin feeling moisturised but I have used better body scrubs and think i will be swapping back to Radox to get that extra smooth feeling!

EYE GEL

The eye gel comes in a small pump operated tube. This is perfect as it can be carried around with you in a handbag for a mid day perk up! One pump is enough for application to both eyes so a tube is extremely economical and should last a while. The consistency is as you'd expect, a clear, unscented gel. Upon application you immediately feel a cooling sensation and it never stung which is quite un usual for me as i have a sensitive eye area. I used it morning and night for a few weeks and noticed a difference. My eyes used to get irritated after make up removal or moisturising. Using the gel seemed to improve this. Morning puffiness is reduced as well so no one need know you only had 3 hours sleep! It provides a great base for eye shadow application which can sometimes be ruined by dry skin around the area. I would advise this to anyone who wants their eyes to look and feel more awake!

BODY MOISTURISER

The body moisturiser has a fairly runny consistency and is quite light. It sinks in to the skin straight away but you need quite a lot of it to cover the body. It is unscented. The moisturiser does not irritate after shaving which is a huge plus! i would prefer a thicker consistency for my sort of skin to leave it more moisturised but if your skin is not particularly dry then i would recommend this one.
Organic Surge is sold in most supermarkets including Boots, you can also buy online via their website. What are you favourite Organic Surge products?
