International Swap with Nadia

When i thought my day couldn't get any better...I can home to find my international swap had arrived!!
Nadia @ Lovelipstickandlime and I decided to do a swap. We set a budget and went through our likes and dislikes and off we went!! Check out the other side of the swap here
Poor Nadia has been stressing that it hadn't arrived as postage to Canada only took a week compared to about 3 or 4 to the UK...and I thought our postal service was bad! Anyway, there was a package waiting on the side for me when i got in and I squealed!! I ran round the house with a sealed box for a while, then realised I hadn't even opened it yet!! I haven't taken a pic of the main box as it has my address plastered over it but pics are below...

The first thing I did was read the card and note....OMG its zebra print!! I love the touch a note gives and Nadia went to the next level with mine :)

Photobucket
yes that is half an easter egg behind it!! lol.

I loved how it was all packaged in a special box...

Photobucket

And then the goodies!!
Photobucket

I am so impressed with the purchases! I have wanted to try lash blast forever and I even have a mac lip gloss, which i would like to add, smells like pink fish!!

I cant wait to try everything out.

Thank you Nadia, i really enjoyed this :)

Project 10 Pan update...

I thought this would be hard work but it made me realise how much i actually have! I have tons of blush and I prob dont need to buy a new one until 2010 atleast!!

So far i've used up....

2 revlon colour stay foundation (I dont pile it on but i had 2 on the go!)
1 mascara

I think the next thing to go will be my benefit dallas bronzer but even that has alot of life left in it!

I have also decided not to buy anymore perfumes until I have used up 5 of my 8 perfumes!! I am nearly 3 down on this one too...just in time for relatives to go on holiday and bring me something nice back!!

I also wanted to say how well my gosh primer is doing, i have has this since January and its still over half full. I use this everyday and even though you dont need a huge amount, I didnt think it would last this long!

So 3 down....7 to go!!

How is everyone else getting on?

I've made my own Pro Lumiere!!

So, I was bored of matte matte matte! I decided to experiment and mix my eyeko beauty cream in with my foundation and...voila!! I had beautiful glowing skin but still with a full coverage. I bought my eyeko cream a little while ago but hadn't really found a way of using it until now. I have been using everyday for a week now and even had compliments from strangers! Bonus! I cant believe how this little product and completely change a look. All for £5 too! Best buy of the year in my opinion. This is just one way you could use this cream, they also do a tinted one which is great for contouring.

If you want to try it out too I used the code E1947 to get free shipping(which includes worldwide) and a free gift.

Seriously I couldn't think of anything I could get for £5 that could beat this!

Check their website out at... www.eyeko.com

Review- Mascaras

So recently I have bought and tested a few new mascaras. I have used these all about 3times each to get a fair evaluation.
I like my mascara to show, I don't really go for the natural mascara look, if i did, i would just get my lashes tinted and save 10 minutes in the morning.
Now call me shallow but I wouldn't leave the house without it, my lashes are really light so I just look asleep without it!! I really don't want to post this pic but for full effect I want you to see how my fav mascara works...

Without anything.
Photobucket

With False Lash Effect-

Photobucket

Please excuse the eyebrows, trying to grow them!! I decided not to post all of them as there wasn't much to show...

Max Factor False Lash Mascara-

I first bought this in January I think and straight away i loved it. Good pigmentation, thickens, lengthens, curls, separates. For me this does everything I want from a mascara and subsequently i have worked my way onto my third bottle!! I have tried the water proof and normal version. The waterproof is better as I didn't get any panda eyes at all, where as on a bad hay fever day I had a slight smudge of black under one eye with the normal one. If you have quite sparse lashes, this wont give you amazing results.

Rating - 9/10 (it would be 10 but I might find something better one day?)

Rimmel Sexy Curves-

After many rave reviews I got this in a 3 for 2 in superdrug. I had high expectations for this and I have to say, slightly disappointed. The wand was flexible to the extreme that i didn't want to use much force or I would end up in mess city! Each time I got a decent amount of product on my lashes, the smaller parts of the brush pulled it back off. Yes my lashes were curved and separated but I had to wait for it to dry fully before applying a couple more coats. I wanted to love you, but it just isn't going to work. I think if your lashes are naturally straight, this along with some curlers would work well.

Rating- 6/10

Maybelline Lash Stilletto-

A new mascara on the market that I had to try. Love the bottle, which if you haven't seen it, looks like a stiletto heel. The brush of this is very thin and perfect for getting really close to the lash line and in the inner corners. Separates well, again not very dark in my opinion. Gave me more of a natural look but all the same quite pleasant. This is the only one I noticed to have a really strong smell, which isn't a huge factor for me. If you have sparse lashes, this could be the one for you.

Rating - 7/10

Loreal Lash Architect-

I have used this for years before finding false lash. You can really build this one up and I had no reason to go on the search for a new mascara other than curiosity. I think this is a good all rounder. 3 years cant be bad!! Before that I was using other mascaras in the loreal range. I love you and you will always hold a special place in my heart!

Rating 8/10

These are my personal opinions and you may get different results than I have :)

Photobucket

Experiment...

I went shopping today to get my last bits for my summer swap and picked up Perfectil tablets. I suffer from tiredness and I'm trying to grow my hair (i expect inches over night) so my sister said i should try this stuff. It was on 3 for 2 so I have 3 months worth, which should be plenty of time to see some results.

The box says....

Certain nutrients are vital to help maintain healthy looking skin, hair and nails in both women and men. Perfectil is designed to complement your daily skin and hair care routine.

It says to take them with your main meal of the day and not on an empty stomach. The only problem i have with tablets are remembering to take them so I think I might keep them in the kitchen next to something i use a lot....ketchup it is then lol. I will report back and let you know how it goes!

China Glaze - Pink Underground

In my mind when i ordered I was thinking spring colours and thought it would be a good 3 weeks till they arrived as I chose the cheapest option...1 week later they were on my door step!!! New finds in March...that im still using!!

Hey everyone,
I've wanted to do this post for a while as Feb & March were big haul times for me! Ive found a few products which I am still using a month on and love. I wanted to share them with you!!

1. Burt Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
Photobucket
Love this. I get my nails done(gels) every 2 - 3 weeks and this keeps my cuticles in good condition inbetweeen. I put this on every night before i go to bed.

2. Benefit Eye Con
Photobucket
I had a sample of this with a benefit order and had been meaning to get it for a while. I took advantage of an offer in boots the other week and added it to my collection. I get really dark circles and this has really made a difference. I was quite sceptical but it has proved me wrong. I hardly wear any concealer anymore! Love!!

3. Clinique 3 step
Photobucket
I bought this in New York a month ago and have been using it everyday since. I used to be a make up wipe and water girl. Ive never been one to breakout and I get like one spot a month. I started by using this at night...then I went onto morning and night which was too much for my skin as it really dried it out as i was washing off natural oils. So im back to once a day for this.

4. Nars Sabrina
Photobucket
I'd heard alot about this so picked it up in Sephora. The first time I used it i hated it...but i stuck with it, now I put it on in the car during my journey to work!

5. Umberto Gianni Instant Beauty Makeover Spray
Photobucket
I have fine hair and it needs washing everyother day. Day one, my hair is styled and fresh. Day two, my hair is lank and out of style :( I spotted this while in boots. It has a similar concept to dry shampoo except it revives hair rather than stops it being greasy and gives you that extra day between washes. This is perfect for me. It smells lovely and works wonders! ive even been using it when I get home from work then rush back out the door. It takes my hair back to its just washed state and Ive used it everyday since i got. I cant rave about this enough. I think it was about £4!

Thats just few of the products i love at the mo. These have all changed my look on a daily basis...love it!!

xoxo

Men you shouldnt...But I SO would!!

Now im not going to dwell on this too much as its kind of embarrassing. I have a huge thing about older men, always have, always will! Things that tick the boxes are.... power & life experience.

Bring in the men...

Simon Cowell...
Photobucket

Duncan Bannatyne...
Photobucket

Ray Winstone...
Photobucket

James Caan...(I've had dinner with him!!)
Photobucket

And just for the cute factor...

Bradley Branning!!
Photobucket

So thats just a little insight into my mind lol.

xoxo

Its been a bad day...

As you can see from the pic below, my hoola is ready for make up heaven. I'm really quite sad about it. I've used this everyday for about a year up until about a month ago when i broke more into blush. It really works well with my skin and personally i prefer this to Nars Laguna.

I know have to replace my hoola asap!! :(
