It's a sad day/week....

So what I thought was a temporary glitch, seems to still be affecting me 2 days later :(

My Internet explorer wont open on my laptop which means no blogging for me! I have sooo many posts for you but just cant post them for you! I have managed to steal some time on my mum's laptop to update you all!! haha!

I will be back soon, hopefully!

If anyone has any ideas of how to fix the problem, please let me know!!

In the mean time I will just have to catch up on twitter. Thank god for my blackberry!!

xoxo

  2. always had probs with IE but much prefer firefox - unfortunately you cant d/l from a site if the browser wont take you there.
Do you have the original install disks for your system?
I would uninstall it and do a fresh install from your system disks - on those you should be able to specify what applications you want to install rather than the whole system. If you dont and you have access to another pc or a friend with one I would get them to dl it for you and put it on a disk for you. When I ran a pc I always kept basic applications backed up onto disk the first being a browser.

picked this up might be of help

Basic IE troubleshooting always begins with clearing your temp files, cookies, and browsing history. To access your internet options go to your control panel and double click the icon labeled "Internet" options. Click the appropriate buttons to clear those items and try to load the program again.

If you are using IE 7 you can try to run the program without loading any add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problems. To do this, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

(You can also load IE without add-ons by clicking START --> RUN and then typing iexplore.exe -extoff)

If those don't work try to re-register IEPROXY.DLL by clicking START --> RUN and typing regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL and then clicking OK.

I would get firefox as a back up browser in any case
hope this helps - ive ran a mac for yrs now but always used to sort out my sisters pc's for her she always had alot of browser problems- a fresh install after clearing out add ons, caches, history and prefs
